Ian Beeby: Meet the newest member of our team

Nicholls Law is Thrilled to Announce the Newest Addition to Our Team: Ian Beeby 

We are delighted to finally welcome Ian Beeby as our new in-house counsel, after working with him for so many years. With an extensive background as a practising barrister in both England & Wales since 2008 and Ireland from 2019, Ian brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team. 

Professional Background and Achievements 

Ian is a member of several prominent legal societies and associations, reflecting his dedication and contribution to the legal profession. These memberships include: 

  • The Bar Association for Commerce, Finance & Industry (BACFI) 
  • The Irish Society for European Law 
  • The London Irish Lawyers Association 
  • The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn (London) 
  • The Honourable Society of King’s Inns (Dublin) 

His specialties reflect and extend our practice’s core competencies, particularly in data protection law and information privacy (including GDPR), property law, debt recovery, insolvency (for both individuals and companies), contract dispute litigation, and advocacy. This expertise aligns perfectly with our mission to provide comprehensive legal services in our speciality areas. 

Beyond the Legal Field 

What sets Ian apart is not only his legal prowess but also his extensive background in the science and engineering sectors. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics, a Registered European Engineer, a Chartered Engineer, and a Chartered Physicist. His experience in telecoms systems design, network design, planning and optimisation, and radio systems analysis adds a unique dimension to his role as in-house counsel.

Ian’s diverse skill set, and interdisciplinary expertise make him a valuable asset to our team. His legal advice in regulatory and contract areas will undoubtedly benefit our practice and the clients we serve.
